The partnership unites award-winning companies with decades of expertise designing, developing and operating the world’s leading airport commercial programs. Midway Partnership is investing over $75 million to double the retail footprint at Midway, hire 1,400 permanent workers, and make Midway an even more powerful engine of the Chicago economy.

Vantage has 29 years experience in managing, developing and investing in 31 airports globally, throughout 12 countries and 4 continents. Vantage has been recognized for delivering award-winning commercial programs and passenger experiences through overarching leadership, oversight of day-to-day operational management and conscientious financial and lease compliance.

SSP America

SSP are the “Food Travel Experts.” They design and deliver next-level food & beverage experiences for demanding and food-savvy travelers at airports and rail stations in more than 30 countries. At Midway, SSP is partnering with iconic Chicago restaurants and brands to deliver fresh and varied dining options with authentic Chicago flavor.

Hudson

Hudson, the largest travel retailer in North America, is “The Traveler’s Best Friend,” operating more than 950 Hudson News, Hudson Booksellers, specialty cafes, and duty-free stores in 83 airports across the continent. At Midway, Hudson is upgrading the shopping experience through new partnerships with dozens of local and national brands.

Economic Impact

Midway is more than an airport. It’s a vital economic engine for the city. Started in May of 2017, this over $75 million private investment brings a complete transformation to the airport concessions that will fuel our city’s economic engine.
